Hugh Terry has had over 40 years experience in the construction industry. He has worked on large and small projects, and all with the same aim: to carry them out efficiently and safely. Safety, quality and efficiency are harmoinous. The safer a workplace is, the better your workforce will perform. This will lead to fewer hold-ups, reduced costs, happier workforce and satisfied customers. Hugh knows what its like to be a site operative, having started his working life as a pipefitter's mate. Rising from the ranks to manage major projects for Wimpey Homes, Laing Homes and Mowlem. Shepherd Construction recognised Hugh's talent and recruited him as a Safety Advisor, working on site and visiting others to provide advice. On joining leading housebuilder CDC2020, part of Centex UK, as Divisional Safety Advisor, Hugh introduced a safety culture that i the envy of many in the industry. He has been deeply involved in developing safety procedures and promoting a safety culture.
